IMPORTANT INFO REGARDING OUR FACE MASKS

(Most updated information as of 12:58PM 04/16/20)

Help support small and local with our tshirt fabric face masks. Eight face masks in every pack.

When you purchase these masks:

  • You help to keep us in business so we can continue supporting our community
  • Keep jobs running for our local screen printer
  • We're donating a portion of profits back to the Gateway Resilience Fund who are providing monetary relief to employees and owners of other small STL businesses who are facing hardships due to the impact of COVID-19.

WHY WE ARE SELLING THESE MASKS:

The CDC recommends the use of fabric masks, in an attempt to leave surgical grade and N95 masks available for health care workers and those who need them most. If you are not a health care worker and have quantities of N95 masks, FDA-approved surgical masks or other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) it is highly recommended and encouraged that you please consider donating these to one of the PPE collection points which you can find here.

We want to clarify that these masks do not provide protection equivalent to N95 or FDA-approved surgical masks, but we have decided to provide these masks as an alternative in accordance with these CDC guidelines, following what they have asked of us all. In addition to this, we have noticed tremendous shortages of masks in general, so we hope that by providing these masks, we can increase the likelihood of people having access to a face mask, that otherwise may not get one. And help to keep our community, our workers and our families safe.

WHERE THE MONEY WILL BE DONATED FOR THE SECOND RELEASE OF MASKS:

The Gateway Resilience fund is providing short term monetary relief to employees and owners of independent bars, restaurants, and shops in the St. Louis area affected by closures and other circumstances brought about by the COVID-19 outbreak. The fund helps covers things such as personal, family and living expenses incurred as a result of this outbreak.
You can find more info on the Gateway Resilience Fund here

WHERE THE MONEY WAS DONATED FROM THE FIRST RELEASE OF MASKS:

A portion of the proceeds of mask sales will be getting donated to Lunches for Clinicians - St. Louis. They purchase meals from local, St. Louis restaurants and provide meals to healthcare workers in the STL area for free. This will help support our front line workers who are fighting to help keep us all safe and well, as well as supporting our local St. Louis restaurant industry during these difficult times.

The gray t-shirt masks were a huge disappointment. Cheap, ineffective, and not at all what I thought I was paying for. Doubling up the masks is as on option the company gave to make up for bad quality…ok. Again, not what I purchased. Doubly disappointed since I also ordered for family out of town. A thoughtful gift turned into, “so sorry about that”. Not sure what happened with this effort, but makes me think twice before ordering anything again.

This mask is pretty awesome. I have made several masks, various styles, and none of them snug up like this one around my nose. Also my glasses don’t fog up.

This fabric is stretchy and a nice weight. Comfortable. Sort of thin, but solid. I think it is reasonably providing a droplet barrier but still breathable. They recommend doubling two which is easy enough since you have eight.

I suppose you could cut these out of tee shirt fabric but would you look as good? I like the STL logo and secretly feel quite stylish when I go out.

    Thanks Arch Apparel!

I thought I was doing a good thing supporting a local small business. What a joke! MInus the STL logo, I could have made these by cutting up an old t-shirt. Even worse, I sent a set to a friend and her husband because they are at high risk. Great conversation when I had to call and say I’m sorry for sending you such cheap crappy face masks. Waste of money and a huge disappointment.

  • Lisa Pearse: April 24, 2020

Guys, I appreciate what you are doing, but these masks are a complete joke. Possibly your first round of “masks” were better quality? I received these and couldn’t believe that I could’ve just cut my own shirt and made my own. I will not be purchasing from your company again, unfortunately. SCAM. I would rather just donate the money to a local charity. Good job, guys.

  • Billy Moran: April 24, 2020

I purchased as a guest, so I can’t login to review my order. But it has been several days and I have received no updates on my mask order (as specifically requested). What is the time-frame on the orders??

  • PN: April 24, 2020

Received our “masks”. Poor quality. Your
recommendation to hand wash and wear
    two is evidence of such.
    I believe you are
hurting your brand—-you would be better
off giving them away and post a video
of how to make them, pretty easy it seems minus the stl logo.

  • Jacque Cuggino: April 23, 2020

I strongly encourage anyone considering purchasing these “masks” to just donate your money to a good charity instead. It is literally nothing more than the worst see through T-shirt material with 2 slits cut into to go around your ears. Not sewed, just cut. And washing it?? Don’t bother. HUGE waste of money.

  • Jennifer Tucker: April 22, 2020

Will you be making more of the fleece ones?

  • W . Stough: April 15, 2020

I logged in promptly at 8:00pm and after I had entered all my information was told that you were “sold out”. All this after you had promoted a new shipment! Don’t know why you didn’t accept my order. I hope that that your response has
Nothing to do with my ethnicity.

  • Melkay: April 15, 2020

Online at 8 It let me add to cart and then said sold out.same thing happened last time. Would like to get some masks but will try other sites. Thank you though for giving back to the community with the donations.

  • Anne C: April 15, 2020

Would like to get some masks for my sisters who are healthcare workers. I see comments that it’s been 8:00… I assumed (obviously incorrectly) that this is 8:00 CST tonight? Thank you

  • William Shockley: April 15, 2020

Had an order in my cart at 8:01, went to check out and it said you were sold out. Would like to buy some masks, will pay for them now! This ideal of signing on at 8pm tonight, to be told you are sold out at 8:01 is not working. Simple question – Why not sell what you have and let people prepay and get the masks?

  • Valerie Gillum: April 15, 2020

would like to purchase 4 pack, listed my info and have not received a text.

  • Biff Henderson: April 15, 2020

Does anyone in the comments section understand that you can’t place an order via comment and IOU?

  • Mark Kannawurf: April 15, 2020

I too on 4/9 had 1 pk of masks in my cart and by the time I got my cc info entered, which I had out and ready to go, got a “sold out” message after doing so. :(

  • Cory: April 15, 2020

Had a pack in the cart and by the time I got credit card info in they were sold out. Not cool

  • Audrey: April 14, 2020

I attempted to place an order for the first round of masks but was unable to complete my order as well. If you have the item in your cart you should be able to keep it there until you can enter your card information. This is very unfair to all of us who still want and need the masks.

  • Wynne davis: April 14, 2020

ne thanksed just one 4 pack please was sold out last time before i got info for cc in

  • William: April 14, 2020

I would like two packs please. Missed our last week and I was on your site at 7:59. So can I pay for them now so I will get two packs?

  • Beth O'Sullivan: April 14, 2020

If I asked the last time you did this, do I still need to order tomorrow? I need 4 masks please. My daughter has chrons and we need masks. Thank you
